(drawing)There is a thing going around where one not only draws oneself as a teenager, which is bad enough, but also posts it to the interwebs. Fortuitously my sister just sent me some old photos of me at school age that I might have used as reference if I had not fortuitously misplaced them. So this is a sketch based on my notoriously poor memory.

Tis a small sketch, yet manages to capture the cute+rancid combo of a teenage boy.

Not to mention the ubiquitous blazer. You too eh?

I still have the photographs, so I know what you really looked like then. Send large amounts of money in small denomination bills NOW or I will post them here for everyone to see.

I'd rather pretend that my teenage years didn't happen, or at least happened to someone else.

To be honest I have mostly forgotten -- I'm not even certain I got the school uniform correct (it may be an amalgam of Poole Grammar and Woodruff or whatever it was called).

This meme is mainly amusing for 20-year-olds, who are merrily laughing at the fashions they wore all of three years ago. :-)

Poole was the bottle green; Woodroffe, if I recall correctly, was black/navy with a red stripey tie for years 1-4 and blue for year 6 and 7, when you were considered old enough to stay indoors during breaks and take turns turfing out the youngsters who might dare infringe on your sacred interior perogative.
